As the collaboration between House of Rare and Cascahuín deepened, so did the trust between them. That trust opened the door to more experimental barrel finishes within the RAREcask aging program. One of those experiments—a very small batch aged in Tawny Port barrels for six months—was selected and bottled as the Cascahuín x Palacio de Hierro edition, celebrating the iconic department store’s 10th anniversary.

TASTING NOTES


Nose

Bright cooked agave leads, followed by delicate red fruit — dried cherry and raspberry skin — layered with light caramel and subtle nutty oxidative notes characteristic of Tawny Port.

Palate

Fresh agave at the core, wrapped in soft red fruit nuance. Gentle toasted oak and restrained baking spice add structure without overshadowing the spirit’s natural vibrancy.

Finish

Polished and medium in length, with a lightly dry, vinous lift. Elegant and balanced
