The first House of Rare collaboration—a PX Reposado—was met with extraordinary acclaim. This release stands as its spiritual successor: three distinct lots of Extra Añejo, matured for three years in bourbon barrels before being finished for a minimum of three months in House of Rare’s signature RAREcask PX Sherry casks, with each lot resting slightly longer than the last. The result is an expression of exceptional depth and rarity, released under the name Genesis—marking the beginning of a new chapter in the RAREcask aging program and the first true release under the House of Rare label.

Nose

Expressive and layered from the first approach.
Roasted agave intertwines with dark raisin, fig compote, and dates. Hints of cocoa powder, toasted walnut, and a subtle thread of orange peel emerge alongside the oxidative sweetness characteristic of PX.

Palate

Silky and structured.
Cooked agave remains present at the core, enveloped by dark caramel, molasses, and dried black fruit. Notes of cinnamon, clove, and toasted oak provide lift and balance, preventing the richness from becoming heavy.

Finish

Medium-long and warming. Lingering cacao, soft oak tannin, and a refined dried-fruit sweetness taper into a clean, elegant agave echo.
