House of Rare has cultivated a relationship with a barrel supplier known for sourcing exceptionally expressive ex-Pedro Xímenez casks. The rich, rounded, dried-fruit character of these PX barrels offers a perfect counterpoint to the minerality of Valles-style tequila. These casks helped define the unforgettable profile of House of Rare’s most celebrated collaboration—a six-month reposado—and now return in the first aged expression released under the House of Rare label: an Extra Añejo aged for three years in bourbon barrels before finishing for six months in its signature PX casks.

To mark the launch of RAREcask Genesis PX, the very first bottle will be offered at auction, paired with a bottle of the sold-out Cascahuín x House of Rare Reposado PX collaboration. Together, they present a rare opportunity to experience two distinct expressions of the brand’s PX aging philosophy.
